Straight Line or Circular waxing. What Do You Use and why?

Personally I use a combination of both techniques depending on the product at hand.

That Carnauba Paste wax I am currently using spreads more easily and uses less product when circular motion is used but my liquid paint sealant on the other hand is more easily applied when using the straight line technique.

What do you use and why?

I try to use straight strokes front to rear. Sometimes I'll catch myself doing circular... 35+ years of muscle memory is hard to erase.

Doesn't matter. Swirls are made up of straight lines anyway.

But I use my GG with blue pad...

I apply LSP's by hand but most people on this forum use machines: no straight lines there...
