I keep destroying sprayer heads with Meguiar's Wheel Brightener diluted 4:1 for dirty wheels.

The product works exceptionally well, I so don't want to switch to something else and rinsing out the sprayer head after each use is unacceptable.

Is anyone using a Kwazar with MWB? I don't want to try it and ruin a $13 sprayer.

The Chemical Guys Heavy Duty Industrial Trigger Sprayer is not cutting it. Below is the correspondence from CG:

"Good Morning,

I am sorry to hear about the sprayers failing on you. For the wheel brightener i would recommend you use the gold and black chamber sprayer ,That one is the best to use when it comes to stronger liquids or even acids and it will last you longer.
the gray sprayer you have is mainly just for regular uses as in for like water, detail sprays, water-less washes, and or sprayable dressings. For degreasers and acid like product id go for the gold and black sprayer.

Is this sprayer supposed to stand up to products like Meguiar's Wheel Brightener?

http://www.chemicalguys.com/Chemical_Guys_ACC_115_GR_320CR_Heavy_Duty_Indust_p/acc_115_gr.htm

I have had two of them fail w WB over the last 4 months.

Is there a different sprayer you would suggest?

Thanks,

Kyle Allen"

Why not try the SprayMaster, you can find them at your local Home Depot. I have 2 of them, for acid and degreasers. Has not giving me problems at all.

+1 ...whatever I had picked up at Home Depot (I think it's the same thing) has been working for me for years. Wheel Brightener dilluted to 4:1 inside it. I don't use the stuff often, but the bottle/sprayer has lasted at least three years now.

The sprayers might not be dead! I use the same spray nozzles and one had the same problem with Megs WB. What is actually happening is the product is drying inside the spray nozzles and clogging the tip. Try just soaking the whole sprayer in warm water for a minute and then pumping straight water through it for a few sprays. This has worked for me in the past.

Have you tried them with Megs Wheel Brightener?

Rinse the sprayer out after EACH use. That should solve your sprayer issue.

Nope, but I always unscrew it and empty the spray head before putting it away. That way the chemical doesn't dry up and clogs.

I got a couple bottles from here, clear plastic bottle and white sprayer. I've had wheel brightener in it for over a year. I've not had a single issue. I'll see if I can find it.

I'm using the sprayers and bottles from Sam's. I have had WB in one of my bottles for 6 months. I rarely use WB maybe 4 times durning that period. Much to my surprise the sprayer works every time without rinsing.

The Autogeek bottle with the high flow sprayer is what I've been using without issues.

Here's a few chemical resistant sprayers for your consideration:

-US Plastics chemical resistant sprayers
-JonDon and other janitorial supply houses
-ULine
-Tolco Acid Resistant Trigger Sprayers...advertised as:
"The King" of chemical trigger sprayers! Tolco uses a special proprietary design which makes it resistant to the harshest chemicals and acids that are used for auto detailing, especially acid based wheel cleaners. Black and gold in color. 9 1/4" dip tube length. 1.4 mL output. 28/400 thread.

They also add this note:
Please Note: "Even though this trigger sprayer is designed to resist harsh chemicals and acids, we strongly recommend flushing and pumping out your trigger sprayer with water after each use to extend the life of your trigger sprayer. Failure to provide proper care and maintenance may result in a short life span of your trigger sprayer".

IMHO:
People may not like the above Tolco-recommendation...
But it is a: Best Practice

Also:
As I do not use wheel cleaners that are formulated with HF acid...
It would be an exercise in futility to ask about my personal use of any of the above sprayers with Meguiar's D140.

You could always get the gen-u-ine Meg's Wheel Brightener bottle and chemical resistant sprayer. The nice thing about the Meg's bottles is that the dilution ratio is marked; just fill with water to the line, and top off with the D140.

I use 16oz bottles, but I think that sprayer is probably compatible with the smaller bottles.

Thanks

Is anyone using Kwazar sprayer with MWB?

Has anyone tried the new Kwazar 360 that is supposed to spray in any position?

I'm a regular user of WB and have used the wide mouth bottle from orchards. Going strong so far, over a year of use

have you tried switching from the wheel brightener to the all purpose cleaner and only 2:1 or 4:1 dilution i use that with the chemical resistant sprayer meguiars offers. that cleaner does an exceptional job it foams up very well and i have actually compared the two side by side and i could not tell the difference, and even though you dilute it less it is still cheaper than the wheel brightener especially if you have to go through the sprayer heads like that.

I used that sprayer for the purple degreaser at HomeDepot and after a couple of uses, the sprayer started leaking from the angled part in the back that would drip between my thumb and forefinger while spraying. The dilution was 5:1.
