Long time detailed (on the side) and I've used a lot of products. My current VW is platinum grey. I'm using UPW, which I like, but if feel like it's lacking some depth and wetness.

Any suggestions on a reasonably priced sealant or wax for this color? I'm looking for decent durability as well.

Thanks

I don't know what you consider to be "reasonably priced"...

But this is one fine Last Step Product (LSP):
SON1C Wax Carnaubavore

Here it is on Light Pewter Metallic:

I use BF Wet Diamond and Meg's Gold Class Carnauba paste on a slate gray Tundra. It really popped the metallic and has very gloss.

I did try BD Midnight Sun on half the hood to compare it to Meg's, but couldn't see a difference and it was 8x the price of Meg's. (Perhaps it was the color of my car)

Thanks. I considered Meg's gold class over the UPW. Four star has gotten my attention too. How's the durability?

You could also try Meguiar's M26 over UPW. You can get it locally.

I keep coming back to Midnight Sun on my graystone metallic paint. I love the way it looks.

I've had beading last for around 3 months, and wash my truck about 3x per month. Since I enjoy waxing it, I'm okay with that. One draw back that I have noticed with Meg's is blushing or ghosting on my wife's midnight blue Tahoe, but I can' tree it on the light silver/gray.
