So I had a customer tell me his brother super glued his mirror on the exterior of his car but spilled a bunch of it on his paint. It a white 2008 Toyota singly stage paint. It's been on there for months. I tried my solventx but it didn't rich it. Any ideas how to get it off?Feed back please

just curious... 2008 still have single stage paint?

Toyota still uses SS on white fir some reason. I thought acetone but didn't know if it would be ok on paint

Acetone is the only solvent that I'm aware of that will dissolve superglue. Acetone is a hot solvent and "can" damage paint but if it's old or factory applied you should be fine...

Well its factory applied, but they doesn't sounds like a solid thing. I feel the same way about using acetone. Seems spooky lol.

If you go to a hobby shop the have some stuff called a bond breaker that un glues things glued by superglue. You might check and see if that will remove it from paint.

I wonder if freezing it with an upside down can of compressed air would make it brittle and easy to remove? Or maybe a heat gun may help if the glue remover doesn't work.
