Since spring is right around the corner, I am getting ready to start my seasonal detailing business up again. I am looking for some of the plastic seat covers and paper floor mats that repair shops use. I use news paper right now but that is way to tacky if left in there car. I found seat covers 500 for 150 dollars. That is too many and way more then I would like to spend. Anyone have any suppliers?

Try this link for paper floor mats

3M Interior Protection Automotive Floor Mat 36901, paper floor mats, eco friendly car floor mats

ebay is the way to go for small things like that! One can find the protective plastic laid over carpets, the paper floor mats that say thanks for your service, seat covers,... anything. Any supplies like you just mentioned I always shop on ebay first and it usually arrives within 3-5 days. Most sellers. know you are using it for a business so they ship quickly.

Thanks. I don't want to spend a lot because I only did 10 cars or so last year.(first year) but I want to show customers I care.

I hear ya' on not wanting 500 seat covers. Seems there was a thread recently about floor mats that ended up costing a fortune because of Canada freight fees.

One way that'd work is fbd a local guy and see ih he'll let you just buy a few of what you need from him. Ask around here if there's anyone in your area even. : ) Fellow AG'ers I've found are usuallu more than willing to help.... just a thought. : dunno:

An idea for the floor mats...due to the fact you only need (maybe) a dozen or two...stop by your favorite auto repair place and ask if you could buy some off of them.

I get my paper floor mats from the local body shop distributor (albert kemperle is the big one on long island). You'll spend a few bucks but buy in bulk and you're set for a long time.

I dont mess with the seat covers I just try to keep myself clean enough to sit inside the car

I just throw down a terry cloth towel and cover the seat with one as well if I am gonna be in and out of the vehicle. I don't like paper mats because they don't hold onto sand, and can be pushed around too easily. Just me though.
