how do they compare to microfiber pads?

I like my megs MF cutting pads better than the surbufs. I feel like the surbufs get saturated and matted much easier than MF pads. They do have a lot of cut. I've used the common surbuf+M105 combo and wasn't a fan, but that could be user error; M105 seemed to gum up the surbuf really easily. Cleaning on the fly did not yield a fresh pad for me. I would normally go through 4-6 surbufs on a full size car, now I can get away with 2 MF pads.

The foam on the surbuf has a lot more give and absorbs more product than the megs MF pads, IMHO.

I have not used my Surbuf pads since I bought MF cutting pads... there is a newer Surbuf pad, however, called the Surbuf RS Pad. They have shorter fibers than the original Surbuf R Pads... I have not heard or seen any reviews on them.
