Hello,

I realize the Brinkmann is the favorite for most people here, but I am looking for a cheaper handheld cordless spotlight when detailing my black altima..
I found this at wal-mart: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Stanley-2M...light/14560018

Anyone used it? For $10, it seems like a nice one with a 12v light.. seems adequate for proper lighting and swirl spotting..

It's OK. But the beam isn't enough of a point source to really high-light swirls.

The Brinkman is such a good light due to, not only it's beam, but it is so light.

And I really like the soft rubber surround on it's front. if you accidentally rub the surface of your paint by getting it too close there is much less chance of scratching your finish with it.

Don't know about the walmart light but Brinkmann is the must to have.

It shows imperfections that can't be seen otherwise, plus it's rechargeable and may have many other uses.

I bought one,but eventually ended up buying a brinkmann. The LED version and works great. I thoght the one frm Walmart was a little too bright for me. Once you clickon the light for a few seconds you get blinded for a short time lol but other than that it ok
