swirls in my windshield

I am new to this forum and would be so grateful if anyone can offer some help. I have some swirl marks and a few very fine scratches on my windshield. Can you recommend anyone with good experience working with glass in the NJ/NY area? Thanks so much!

Welcome to the forum. I have noticed not many detailers or automotive glass shops really mess with glass polishing. It is highly labor intensive and if you price accordingly it usually costs more to polish the glass than it will to just replace it.

There are a few threads floating around here if you do a search for "CarPro CeriGlass" to get an idea for what is involved. Would be a great DIY project if you're already comfortable with handling a machine polisher. Also, check with a graffiti removal professional. Often they will have glass restoration services to repair large, expensive windows that have been keyed or vandalized.

It can end up being a never ending 'chase your tail' kind if thing trying to correct scratches in glass. I stick to only removing water spots and polishing glass to deep clean it.
