I see some people are getting some grief for having "Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk" in their signature. If you are an iPhone Tapatalk user (like me), you can remove or change the signature in the Tapatalk settings. Before you enter any forums, tap the settings button on the bottom of the screen, scroll down and tap on signature, and choose your desired settings.

Or, you can be "that guy" and keep the default signature.
 
What's the deal with Tapatalk anyhow?
Everytime I enter a forum on my phone (Moto Droid) it asks me if I want to use it.

I just see no need in it really, I can browse the forums fine and post, etc. without issue. What is the benefit?

I modified mine by removing the iPhone plug. But let me ask this, why does it matter that we post from our phones? Why should we conform to someone else because they don't use it? I could understand if it was something graphic or vulgar, but it's a simple signature.

I leave the sig for 2 reasons. 1. So people know I'm not sitting at a computer and if I don't respond it's not because I'm ignoring them. and 2. Hoping some slack might be cut if I have a typo or something since the autocorrect can be a PITA. I think the people that get upset about it are just haters. I don't know why anyone should or would care how I post on a forum.

It just streamlines it. No colors or images to load. Makes it much easier to navigate and loads more quickly. I love Tapatalk.

A few weeks or a month ago I thought it was funny to add "Sent from my insert .... here" after always seeing people with that "Sent from Iphone" or what not.

I think somebody else got it twisted up and didn't take it as a joke.

Haha. When I started this thread I didn't think anyone kept that signature on purpose. The first thing I did was remove the signature, even before adding any forums. I just thought some people didn't know how to remove it.

I stand corrected.

I would suggest putting something such as 'sent from a mobile device, please forgive spelling/brevity'.

This way people understand the post was sent from a device that is a lot harder to type correctly on than a computer and may be more forgiving as for errors.

I like it!

I hate the tapatalk signature so I removed it but I may add wat u wrote above so people understand that I am writing like this because I'm on my phone.
