I started following your posts, your writing since MOL, 2006 to be exact. Since then what I did was I read what you wrote and I practiced them on customers cars, yes seriously.
I have managed to polish countless cars myself and became very experience hence I, too, wrote a book and made DVD too. It's about a guide on how to properly maintain a car for end user, I explained the steps by steps as in the 5 steps to maintaining a car. It covers exterior, interior and engine room. It's actually sort of step down version of car detailing, the theory and basic knowledge are pretty much the same.
I recently had your books, my 3 years experiences as a car detailer was far from the depth and width of your 36 years experience. I finished my books only after I ran the car detailing business for 2 or 3 years I forgot, it's been sometimes.
I want to thank you that if you weren't writing and sharing those lots and lots of articles on MOL and now here in AG, I wouldn't be able to learn how to become a good car detailer.
Now I have another goal, I want to revise my books to include several things such decontamination, introducing people to machine polishing with DA, etc.
Also hopefully one day I will be able to meet you in person. :dblthumb2:
