I am interested in purchasing a cR cover for my vet. I have one now that leaves a white residue on the finish after it has been taken off. Any recommendation on a good quality cover?

I did a lot or research on this when I bought my Mustang and chose the Covercraft Noah. That being said, any car cover is going to give you superficial scratches. I now only will be using it for the winter. If your car is garaged, I've read about people laying some flannel sheets across the car.

The scratches isn't what I am worried about, it's the synthetic material leaving residues behind. Does the cover do this?

I have two cars under covers. One is Noah, the other is Weathersheild HP. The Noah gets dirty and stained, and after three years has started to shred. It also does a poor job of keeping dust out. The weathershield is much thinner, but the car has been clean when I have removed the cover. The weathersheild can also be washed in a large capacity home washer, while the Noah has to be taken to a commercial washer. I think my Noah might last another year or so, after which I will most likely replace it with a weathershield.

If its indoors, look no further than the Form-Fit from Covercraft. Chris allowed me to use one a couple years back and still want one. Its lingerie for the Vette.

I'll second that. They are very nice!

I also have a Covercraft Weathershield cover and it works well. I wish I had a soft lining but it does keep the car clean. Mine use to repel water but it doesn't anymore for some reason. Seems to keep most of the water off the car but now some soaks through. It's still a great cover though

I am looking for one that doesn't soak water threw. It is a outdoor cover that I need. One that will last and not seep water through. It's for a client of mine.

I went back and looked at mine and it's actually a Cover King Stormproof

The Covercraft Weathershield is similar but has a 4 year warranty. You can't go wrong with Covercraft, they are really nice and have several materials to choose from. Call and talk to them and they will be able to help guide you in the right direction. They are very helpful

I would try a coat of 303 waterproofer on those covers that are now letting water through. It probably comes with it but it wore off.

Mine said that it was uncoated and it's water repellence came Frkm the material and how it was woven. They said if there was any soap left on it after a wash that it would cause it to soak up the water rather than repel. I'm going to rewash in water only like they suggested and see what that does
