The Colour Blue --- Light or Dark

The subject of BLUE came up in another thread.

Is it a light colour or a dark colour???

Here are some medium blue's what do you think?

And what products would work best.

i.e. Glaze, Sealant or Wax

Poorboy Polish w/Carnauba Original - Light colored vehicles such as Whites, Yellows, Silvers etc

Poorboy Polish w/Carnauba BLUE Dark Colored vehicles such as Black, Blue, Red, brown etc

Toyota Blazing Blue Metalic

Mazda Celestial Blue Mica

Honda Neutron Blue Metallic

VW Techno Blue (yes on a Cobra)

I don't think it will make much of a difference. It's all in the prep work that will give you the final outcome.

its all in the prep work to make a color good.

The only thing the lsp does is add a tint unique to the wax. I would just say depending on what look you want to pick a wax.

reflective, deep, candyshell, etc..

What I am trying to get at, is in reading here about product selection, you see 'On your black car you must use Brand X' or 'you have a red car, Product Y will make your colour pop'.

If it is a dailey driver I would use Natty's Blue for a Monthly Wax topped with Chemical Guys Wet Mirror Finish on a weekly basis for a perfect shine 365 days a year. Touch ups can be done with PB World Spray & Gloss.
These are economical products that are very underated. You get a great value without paying for the Fluff !!

There is no such thing as "you must" use a certain product if you have a certain color. Granted Souveran does look good on blacks, but some like sealants which is more reflective. LSP, IMO is subjective. What may look good to you may not to others. The best thing to do is try different products and see what you like. AG offers many LSP's in mini sizes like Fuzion and DO DO juice. Ask a 100 good detailers what goes best on a certain color and you will get 50 different answers.

The first vehicle, the Subaru, that would look best with a wax for dark colors such as Natty's Blue. The other vehicles are much lighter blues that would probably benefit from Natty's White. That's what I would do, but it's all a matter of opinion.

When in doubt, Natty's Red!

I always like to start off with a base coat of sealant and then top with an appropriate wax. I've never seen a sealant that is specific for certain colors so I would put more attention to the wax.
