I have a large oak tree over my parking spot and every morning I have bird droppings to deal with. I tried parking in the street and got sideswiped. I'm using the wolfgangs 3.0 as a sealant but this eats eats through it pretty fast. I've thought of trying opti coat (have some in the garage). Currently I have a batch of the wolfgangs rinse less wash in a spray bottle and do a quick wipe down every morning with a foam pad and a well used microfiber towel. Is there a product that will stand up to this abuse or do I just need to buy a small tarp a deal with the wind scuffs. I'm starting to get some permanent spots that I'm going to try some ironx on that look like it's gone right through the paint. Lower spot on the photo View attachment 23271View attachment 23270

You use a foam pad and one towel to wipe down your car everyday? Also iron x isn't going to get rid of water spots and bird bomb spots, it's an iron remover.

Sounds like the name of a metropolitan newspaper...
Where's "Mr. Kent" when we need him?

Does having the Opti-Coat in the garage,
leave no room for parking your vehicle? :D

Opti-Coat, upon reaching full-cure (~30 days), will provide
"the best LSP-way" of: Bird-bomb-proofing your vehicle.

I'd still clean-up their mess: ASAP, though.

Either cut down some branches or cut down the tree. Parking under trees will ruin your finish quick.

Man, if I was you I'd cut the tree down or blow it up. If it's your neighbors tree, I'd be investigating tree diseases and how to inflict a fatal disease to that tree - Sudden Oak Death comes to mind. A tree will wreck your car, which could wreck your life.

I use the wolfgangs rinse less was in a spray bottle , clean it and then wipe it down with a Clean but older microfiber.

I just revived the Opti coat with the 10% off free shipping sale. I'm hoping it provides better protection that the Wolfgang 3.0.
The garage is small and full, we are trying to buy a new place with room for the care and no trees. At least the wife's high top van won't fit at 9" ft tall so no domestic strife over who gets the garage.

It's a rent house and I'd loose a $1500 deposit taking the tree down. Trying to buy my own place that has no trees and a bigger garage.
We will see how that works out. It sounds like getting the Opti coat on the roof is the best bet. It just sprinkles almost every day in the winter here and I understand it needs a least 12 hours of dry weather to cure correctly. With the garage full of boxes getting ready to move ( optimist I am) I'd have to borrow or rent a space to do this. I'll just keep hoping the Wolfgang continues to hold up.

To add insult to injury, we have a coal fired lime plant a mile or so from the house that coats the cars every night with a fine powder that any moisture turns to cement. Is very alkaline, the wife's high top van has a major clear coat failure ( it seems clear dosn't bond as well to fiber glass. So I put a little white vinegar in my rinse less wash to neutralize it's effect a bit. If we get a heavy dew the morning that dries, it's a full wash and polish to get back to ground zero. With a 9 ft van that means dragging the ladder out.
I don't think I've kept up with it enough hence the clear failing and it's only been four years when I had it last repainted.
I had been using Zainos CCS ( before I found autogeek) on it bi-weekly but it just came apart, you can peel big pieces off with your fingers. This time I'm looking for a body shop with a life time warranty.

Smack,
My mistake it's the Pinnacle liquid gloss, rinseless wash. Wrong side of the detail bag.

Wolfgangs rinse-less wash in a spray bottle every morning right now.
Take a cardboard pooper scooper and flick the hard deposited part off in the grass, spray with pre-mixed RW and hit it with a damp sponge, then spray and wipe again. Moving in a few weeks and no trees over the drive of the new place.
