The Guarnteed Rain Dance to Make it Rain in Sunny So. California!!!

So last night I wash and prep my car for a second coat of wax for this early morning (at 6am). Today in Southern California it is supposed to be about 80 degrees and some humidity. Partly cloudy to sunny later today.

Well After applying the 2nd coat it is cloudy enough to take my car out of the garage so I can remove the wax and IMO outside is the best way to see if you missed any spots. Again, remember it is cool enough and no sun, just overhead clouds (perfect to final detail).

After finishing everything my last step is to apply a tire coating. On my last tire, it begins to drizzle!! In Sunny So Cal!!

Talk about being peed off!!! I quickly moved my car in the garage and wiped down everything (perturbed of course). Well after I wiped everything down....the SUN CAME OUT!!

People who are having a drought...please wash you car and you will cause it to rain!!!

Not true! I think that's a universal car-guy thing, if you're outside having a detailing etc. session and it starts to rain, as soon as you've got everything brought inside and put away, that's when the rain stops and the sun comes back out :p
 
washed yesterday...took my sweet time. Rained. So, anyone in Orlando, FL you're welcome for the rain yesterday
 
Well at least you are in the middle of it. My luck is when I am all done and roll up the extension cord it pours down, or birds decide to use the roof as a bathroom after eating the dog food outside.
 
haha, Yes it does and it sucks! My car hasn't been clean (untouched by rain) for more than 2 days! Killing me!
 
LMAO! Man hearing all these stories makes me cringe. I did forget that this time of year Florida does rain periodically....that must suck!!.....So Setec Astronomy is correct it is universal. I guess we all can call ourselves Rain Dr.'s

I feel your pain haha, nothing worse than working on the ride and it rains, even worse if it turns out to be a light drizzle!
 
I washed mine yesterday. No rain here yesterday or today in So Cal. I'm near Torrance. It was a little overcast but that will dissipate.

20 minutes ago (12:30PM) it rained for about 3 minutes. GGGRRRRR My car is officially "DIRTY". I am in Newport Beach, CA. Oh well it beads real nice!!!....LOL
 
I remember using Rain Dance car wax before I got into detailing and switched over to Meguiar's Mirror Glaze line. I think Consumer Reports tests said Rain Dance was one of the better OTC waxes.
 
As a long time former resident of CA i share your pain. I used to say that if i was around during the dust bowl id be a millionaire.
