broke and i've only used it 3 times now! :(

bought the 10" brush, i like the brush, works great for washing the bigger vehicles, and gets nice and soft in hot water.

but the telescoping pole i bought with it as a combo has already busted, what gives? anyone else have this problem?

i picked it up (i store it indoors), and tried to extend it out, and it was super hard to spin and eventually it got moving but came out the other end of the handle, so im assuming that the locking piece is stuck inside or something.

what do people do about this problem with the pole? i've heard of a few people having issues with it, and didn't think it was going to happen to mine.

Swanicyouth (Steve did a write up on these poles and a fix for them)

Let me see if I can find it

Found it:

Review: Montana 10" Boar Hair Brush Does it Scratch?

Dear Evan

Thank you very much for digging up Steve's excellent review.

I bought a Shur-Line extendable paint pole. It isn't as light as the other poles, but it's very useful for being able to wash the roof and windshield of our Honda Odyssey without climbing on a work platform or step stool.

I have the Montana "Plus" brush and like it, though lately I've been enjoying Microfiber Madness's Incredisponge, Incredimitt, and Incredipad.

i appreciate the replies, but i could have bought a seperate broom handle for it at any point. pretty much anything on a handle uses the same threads.

the threads are hollow because they are supposed to be used in conjunction with a soap wand, that flows through the head for constant soap supply. this handle isnt for that and has those threads anyway, but besides that.

i was basically leaving a comment wondering what ag does about defective product. i doubt they intend their adjustable extendable pole to no longer be adjustable or extendable after only 3 uses due to poor construction.

Mine broke. AG promptly took care of it and sent me a new one... Of course, that one broke - because the part is poorly engineered for the job.

However, there are like a zillion poles out there you can use in all different price ranges. I lucked out, I had a telescoping one from a Hoppy Snow Removal tool laying around that works perfectly. If also used just a broom handle with threads - that works fine as well.

Contact one of AGO's customer service representatives tomorrow (Monday):
They'll take care of you and your pole!
