Look what my dumba$$ son in law left me with...

These are AFTER a quick wash and I wiped a good bit off it off and before I decided to grab some pics. Oh and there is LOTS more all over the paint, trim and everywhere in between... He considered this a "detail" on my daughters MDX.

Yes that is wax on the rubber trim on the inside of the window.

Is it too late to tell your daughter she married a dud?

 Looks like he's very thorough............................................at being a dumba$$. Just think of it like this Big D, if your busy correcting this you won't have to be hanging sheet rock :D

Wow, you would think, given what you do, this would be something he would not mess around with.

I am sorry in advanced for laughing..... but even more sorry for you having to fix it. Atleast it gave you something to do lol

Sorry Big D, but I busted up laughing when I saw this (especially knowing how you feel about him). Is he really this clueless or are you just messing with us...Sorry for your misery.

No dude he is really that clueless. I really wish you all could have seen how bad it was when I started. I honestly think he left enough wax on the car to wax an entire car with some to spare.

Hahah, wow. Don't think I've ever seen so much wax left behind. Now I know I have to make possible future son-in-laws detail a car for me before I decide to let them into the family.

I've seen this way too many times. I can't tell you how many cars I cleaned this summer that had left over wax from detailers (or owners) that were in a rush. I had a buddy pay this place $200 for a full detail and they left wax all over his car! So, he now comes to me to get his cars detailed. So, another hack detailer gives me more business.

Smack your son in law around! Or just don't let him touch your daughters car!

I think we've all seen this! An aspiring detailer in the rough so to speak!

Maybe he should attend a class or two at your place!! :dblthumb2:

I think he'd do a whole lot better putting the wax on with a DA polisher.....:props:

Looks to me like maybe he used a 10" wax spreader to wax that with. Unfortunately I see cars like this all the time. Bull in a china shop.

It's not his fault. Even if his arm is now sore from patting himself on the back.

He's never been schooled in the proper way to treat a car. It's time for you to show him how it's done.:buffing:

And your wife can talk to her daughter to make sure he's not a big dud in any other departments:confused:

I'm sorry for you and your daughter D. He needs good wack on the head! I appreciate the good laugh I got from the comments though!
You know, Tad has a point. Saved you from sheet rock... for a little while at least. :buffing:

Dwayne,

You can look at it from another standpoint. Think how those sections of paint and rubber with the extra wax are now well protected. He might have missed those sections and the paint would be exposed to excess UV rays and environmental fallout. It might otherwise lead to premature CC failure, so in reality he saved the cars paint.:)

Ok, sometimes I'm a Smart-A__.

In addition to OS, OCW is pretty easy to use, pretty durable for a spray on and won't stain trim or rubber too.

I had a recent customer that had his vehicle previously "detailed" at the local swirl 'n go which led to 2 hours of me removing TOGW. :bash: Are you forseeing any family bonding time to help give this young man some pointers? :pc7424:

The real question is...how the hell he got it on the inside of the window seal. I mean really....thats just trying to screw up. He needs to get an award for going above and beyond on that screw up.
