Saw this black beauty at a Pontiac show last month and figured I would take some pics and share them. Sorry they're a bit late, but better late than never, eh? Mostly 60's era Pontiacs at the show - check out this thread for pics from last year's show: http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/off-topic/26155-old-school-pontiacs-other-cool-cars.html. Anyway, onward ho!

I like the tinted tail lights and the license plate

nice big rims

rather large spoiler, don't you think?

wouldn't have minded a look under the hood of this bad boy. But lookee here, doesn't appear to be many swirls!

I liked the mirrors on this car - seems as though we have some swirls here though. Hmmm.

Well, that's all the photos I have. There were quite a few people looking at this car and taking pictures as well, so I was probably lucky to get the shots I did. Thanks for looking! :xyxthumbs:

I wish they would actually produce these. Looks much better then the Camaro IMO. Personally I love the spoiler. Matches the era the car was going after. I likey.

I'm a bit torn on what to think of these.... I know there are a lot of Pontiac fans out there and I'm one of them to a certain extent but I guess in my mind, I'd rather they let Poncho rest in peace and stop trying to revive it through conversions like this.

I like the new camaros....but I think this thing looks terrible. Looks thrown together, not oem in the least. Kinda looks like a ghetto transformer from the front.

Trans Am Depot does these conversions they also have another year T.A and a GTO Judge converstion for the camaro

If only from the C Pillar the new Camaro wasn't so awful.

Great pictures tho Shane, and lol at examining the hood for swirls.

:nomore:

P.S. Those headlights were suppose to be on the Camaro originally. For some reason they changed it right before production. And I agree that this car looks cheap, but to each their own. :props:

that bodystyle should stay with the camaro cause thats what the camaro was similar to back in the day. the ta has too many mixed up things going for it. the front and the hood take after the 77, i dunno what the back end takes after, the shaker didnt come out till the mid 70s, and the wheels are too ricey and huge. if they were going to stick with that bodystyle, they shouldve done the styling ques from that era. quad lights on front, 2 big square grills, and 2 outlets for a ramair. imo as a car in itself, it looks ok, as a transam, back to the drawingboard! provided link below on what they SHOULDVE used to work with.

The company that produces the kit for these is OTTO Body and they sell them to a few companies that specialize in the new Camaro... They have a GTO Judge also that is amazing! I want the Judge version... And the cool thing is the Chevy dealer down the road from me will do the conversions for you!

Ha ha, you guys are way too critical, I think the thing looks great. As for the wheel comment, I think it's a pretty good homage to the snowflake mags of the "Bandit" era while still being contemporary.

What does it say on the steering wheel? I can't really make it out...unless it just says "Trans Am".

i seen the judge kit but not in real life. personally they hit that spot on even though the bodystyle is more camaro than chevelle.

Some one also makes a front bumper and valance that makes the new Camaros look more like the 1969s

Not a big fan of the new Camaro conversion cars. There are lots of different ones and most of them look awful to me.

But hey! To each their own! I'm sure the owner loves it and it probably draws lots of attention!!
