Thief rips off Subaru owner

Yea I saw this the other day. I feel bad for the guy. Reminds me of "the claw" back in the day with the skyline.

has the kid ever posted his side of the story or is he hiding?

People like this really do give "tuners" bad reps. I'm not saying the kid is guilty because he may not have known it was stolen but he should at least post his side. The fact that he's not posting is shady

the trade is what i questioned... a built sti is still an sti. love the cars, but to want to trade your srt-8 jeep for one? if in fact the kid knew it was stolen and it sounded that way the trade is what saved him from losing anything in the deal... from what i read it was an even trade?

I really hate inconsiderate, no conscience type of people. I hope this guy is placed behind bars. How can you live like that knowing you ripped off someone?!

I'm the same way man I totally agree with you.

It would be awful if he had an accident like running his face into an aluminum baseball bat repeatedly...just by accident

Seriously. If I were the Subaru owner I'd do anything and everything possible to find out where the kid lives and get my Subaru back.

Nothing good will come out of assaulting this "kid" or taking the car back by force. Also, you could end up getting shot in the process legally.

I think that poster needs to pay off his loan and buy something he can afford ( i.e. cheap ) to get to his job so he can afford a lawyer to sue this "kids" family ( since he is under 21 ).

WOW! I would like to see how this whole thing turns out. Interesting story

I wont say I read every post, but the TLDR is that the bank forgave his loan on the jeep as they were insured against such a situation, and he is currently working on getting some money to lawyer up to try and get his car back.

I hope he gets it back man...thats just real jacked up.

The world is full of crooks.
And getting fuller every day.
I recently had a motorcycle up for sale.
Every response I had was someone trying to trade me something for it.
I told them all to sell whatever they had and to come by with cash.
I also told every single person interested in actually buying it to come over with the full price in cash and then they could 'test ride" the bike.
One guy came buy with a carload of friends to "look" at the bike. I said go ahead and look. But I'm not starting it up until you hand me the cash to hold. They went away.
Finally sold it to another old guy. For cash.
