This Car Mat is Bent!

This mat was heavily stained. A Cake had been dropped on the mat along where it is bent actually. And the carpet turned as hard as a rock and I guess the cake was white because that whole area of the carpet was white and by first glance I thought the fibers got eaten away because they were squished down and it was rock hard i couldnt even tell there were any carpet fibers there.. Well After scrubbing and scrubbing and use of Folex got it out 100%

BUT.. The mat is bent! I have let heavy things sit on it for 6-7 hours and it helped a little.. but not much improvement..

Any ideas?

Since it's rubber backed a little heat will help. Take a blow dryer to soften the rubber, curl it the opposite way of the bend, then place it upside down with the weights on it for a bit. That should do it.

Tried that. I used a heat gun actually.. Not to close though because I didnt want to burn it just enough so it was very bendable and I bent it back and let my Gallon of APC and Gallon of Folex and a few other things sit on it figuring as it cools it will harden a little bit flat but nope..

Ill give it a shot again tomorrow.. The heat did Improve it but didnt fix it.
 
Try soaking the mat in some really hot water for a little bit, then remove lay flat and put some weights on it. Just another idea to try I guess.
 
Use a heating pad on low with weights added...let it sit.
 
you will need to heat it quite a bit and leave it warm for a while. Also you might want to try heating next to the bent area. trying to shrink the rubber around it a bit to pull it back into place.
