This is my next door neighbour's old Camry that sits outside 24-7. It has 300,000 km on it. The only thing I wasn't able to turn around where the wheels..the brake dust had eaten the paint something awful..I tried 2 metal polishes and compound..nothing worked. The rest came up O.K. I guess:
The Process:
wash and clay with clay magic
polish with FPII with black 3M finishing pad
compound with 106ff with 3M compounding pad where needed
compound with 3M finishing compound with wool pad where needed
glaze with Menz glaze
Collonite
Interior cleaned with 303 diluted 10-1
leather and plastic treated with 303 Aerospace
glass with this 2 step microfiber glass towels, 1st one just wet with water, then immediately dry with 2nd mf..it worked great, and fast too!
tires got zaino tire dressing
wheel wells sprayed with foaming tire dressing..can't remember the name:confused:

Looks Good! I use to work downtown Detroit. I could see Windsor from my office.

It's a great location. You get all the advantages a big city like Detroit has to offer and yet none of the traffic and other b.s. that goes with it. Not to mention access to u.s. gas (cheaper) and other goods we can't get here or are too expensive.

Very nice, you know for a vehicle with high milage the body is in god shape. Well done, looks really good.

I like the write up, thanks for sharing.

That's some fine work. Three hundred thousand kilometers on the clock? You have to be impressed by that!

Detroit is one of the last places in the US that I would want to live. I have been robbed at gun point and had my widow smashed and the tops off a Corvette stolen in Detroit. I use to drive 36 miles oneway to work. I lived on an island called Grosse Ile. It's right where the Detroit River meets Lake Erie. I use to ride my jet ski to Canada (in the summer of course).

Oh Gary..small world man!! When I was a kid, my grandmother used to live on Grosse Ile just over this little bridge by a yacht club, on the right hand side. That was in the 70's and early 80's. Neat place indeed. Grosse Ile is a diamond amongst the rough of Detroit. Windsor cops have a rep in Ontario as being tougher just from having to deal with our Detroit visitors.

LOL, That's funny about the Windsor cops but I believe it. One of my cousins is a cop of Grosse Ile. What a easy job. Nothing ever happens there especially compared to Detroit. It does seem like a small world sometimes.
