UPDATE BELOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This happened the other day when this farmer was harvesting some summer wheat. This combine was a 1987 CaseIH 1460 Axial Flow. He was harvesting and a bearing caught fire inside the combine where the wheat is separated from the trash. All that was very dry and naturally caught fire and he drove the combine to the edge of the field until it was in a safe place.

This is a total loss piece of equipment, it was worth about $50,000.

It's a sad day for CaseIH fans everywhere.:sadwavey:

I just visited this story over at tundra solutions.com and there are a couple of members over there willing to donate some money to this farmer. People are willing to send in $5 or so bucks and I will make sure that the farmer in question gets the money to go toward his new combine. New ones are about $250,000. Hell, even one of this condition is about $50,000. He has insurance, but it wont cover everything and the farmer will still take a hit.

I guess that the members over at ts.com are willing to get things started to donate some money, anyone over here interested?

That is a real shame. I hope he can get a replacement soon.

Thats just sad! The whole crop can go to waste! Not good! Give me your paypal, and I wil donate some $$

Ok guys, if I am going to start a donation program for this guy, I want to make sure he is even a nice guy first off. I dont know him personally, but I dont want everyone to be donating money to an a-hole.

I will let everyone that wants to donate know soon if this donation program is up and running.

Yah, that is pretty sad! We have relatives with a farm in Omaha. Keep us posted!
