I finally ran out of my Backfire Microfiber cleaner which I loved. I was eyeing towel kleen as a new pick up, whats are users thoughts? how are your towels after washing with it?

Love it. Towels come out nearly un scented and feeling clean & soft. Little goes a long way [I use 2oz. per 10 towels and sometimes that's too much detergent if the towels aren't really soiled]
Zero complaints. I won't be going back to store bought free & clear detergent.

Funny, I was thinking about starting a thread on Towel Kleen.

My opinion & findings:

I don't like the smell. It's one of those 'industrial' type of scent that I just do not like - it's that of generic APC/window cleaner scent. I'm talking about after the washing & drying scent it left behind on my towels. By itself it doesn't smell bad.

Color. This thing fades the heck out of my towels. I never had this issue with any brand of 'free' detergent or my old favorite: Charlie's Soap & vinegar. Every single towel - no matter where I purchase from - looks worn.

Other than that, this thing does clean well, and the towels do feel softer overall.

And in case anyone wonders; 10 towels (mixture of 300/350/400/470/530) per oz. I don't think I've used too much... or maybe it is, hence the color stripping. I don't know. Maybe I need to dial down.

It's may favorite dedicated mf towel cleaner, if I wasn't using it I'd go back to All Free and Clear.

I use 1 oz in my HE machine no matter how many towels I'm washing.

I'm getting ready to use it right now.. 2oz. for 25 towels since these aren't too dirty. I didn't even have to do a pre wash on this batch.

Started using it last Fall. Excellent product and the price is right.

Another positive vote here.

Have not experienced any fading of my towels since using it. Leaves them clean and soft every time. This product plain works.

Thanks for the feedback all! Anyone experience issues in HE machines? Thats what we have here.....

90% locked in ready to try.

Same question on he machines. Does this go right in the detergent dispenser?

Towel Kleen is totally fine to be used in HE machines. And yes, right in the detergent loader.

Works well as a pretreatment as well. With the exception of my ONR stained wash towels everything comes out clean and soft. I use it on both my detailing towels and the microfibers I use for household use. Some of the house hold ones can be full of cleaners and crud from the stove and they always come out clean. Great value for the price, too.

Has anyone ever used HD Towel Kleen in place of your regular detergent to wash Terry towels? I'm talking about the super heavy duty caked towels we use for detailing [carpet cleanup etc] I've got a large load I'm finally about to wash, [20+ towels and they're all caked] I'll be mixing in some bleach of course.. Has anyone used HD for this type of load? Any good? Or should I just stick to the reg stuff?

Does anyone have an opinion based on experience as how this compares to Micro-Restore? I think MR is fine, but I've heard so many good things about HD Towel Kleen.

I started using 3D Towel Kleen a couple months ago, because of all the positive recommendations here on AG.

I love it. I have a HE machine and the towels come out great. Most of all, it doesn't leave behind any residue on my dedicated Glass Micro's.

We use TK every day to clean both MF and cotton towels. Works excellent. We use primarily cotton (terry and surgical) for windows, interiors and extreme dirty use.
