Tile Wax

We installed a Racedeck TuffShield Diamond Tile floor just a few months ago but with use it lost a little of its gloss and shine, so used Pinnacle XMT Spray Wax to restore a nice clear, vibrant look.

It's kind of hard to see a huge difference from a picture but in person it was very noticeable.

This is the before side...

There are various stains from car care chemicals randomly over the floor

This is the after side...

I used one microfiber towel dampened with the XMT Spray Wax to wipe/scrub a set of 4 tiles and then wipe the tiles to a clean, bright shine with a separate, dry microfiber towel, literally like shown in the movie "The Karate Kid", wax on, wax off....


Worked really well and should make cleaning easier in the future. I would recommend using this spray wax on a new set of tiles before driving on them...

If you ever decide to put a cool tile floor down in your garage, I would highly recommend going with the TuffShield version. The TuffShield tiles have a built-in glaze that makes the surface non-porous which makes wiping up spills a breeze and pretty much stops dirt stains from building up.

I LOVE this wax!!!!! I use it after each car wash. I just got done using it a few house ago. Interesting that you used it on floors.

Doesn't the XMT 360 spray wax make it Slippery?

Of course, any chemical splatter that gets back on the floor will just strip the wax back off in short order, but that's another story....

Any slickness from the wax?

You have to understand the tiles are smooth and glossy to start with and that's what "we" wanted. So did the wax make the tiles slick? No more than the gym floor where you went to school after the school janitor waxed the floor.

Yes, I used about 2/3 of the bottle but I used it very heavily as I used the liquidity of the product plus the scrubbing action of the fiber material to agitate, clean and then shine the tiles. This is a non-cleaning wax but when you add "pressure" from my hand, and the scrubbing action of rubbing a "material" over the surface you get cleaning action. I could have done the same thing with ordinary water but I wanted shine and some level of protection to make wiping spills faster and easier into the future.

I don't know about fun? I don't have time for anything like testing waxes on tiles but I'm all for you giving it a go...


Big picture is this, the floor looks fabulous and when walking on it with shoes, which is normally what we do, the floor is not slick or slippery, just beautiful and it's going to help showcase all the cool cars we have here for our TV show next week.

Yes, easily but it's not longer called XMT it's now in the McKee's 37 line.
