Tips on removing the protective white shipping plastic?

Morning All,

Any tips on removing the white protective shipping plastic? Should it be done at the dealer (no wash though) to inspect for any shipping damage?

Yes, have them remove the plastic and inspect there.

If something were damaged it would probably be pretty hard to get them to cover it if it was not discovered at the dealership.

I used to check in the cars that came in off the carrier. I missed finding a huge dent in a hood one day because the plastic didn't show the depression. It had released from the paint and everything looked smooth.
