I currently operate out of 4x8 trailer with 30 gallon water tank, nomad, shopvac, mytee lite II, 2500 watt generator and bins bins and buckets for all the goodies.... This is the perfect setup for me when I have to do a full detail as I do ONR washes.
My problem is there is only one other CAR WASHER that is decent in my neck of the woods and I want to capitalize on many of the office plexes and big companies .. Long of the short is I want a separate rig for car washing

Can someone chime in with some hands on experience on quality products, pumps, pressure washers etc .
I walked into Northern and they have a low pressure washer with rig and all for $2000... Psi is about 300 which seems a little weak to me
At present I'm looking at piecing it together and grabbing a 5x10 trailer.

Thanks fellas!

why do you want a pressure washer? Maybe your thinking of this in the wrong way. Market your business better. Maybe think green with ONR. 3 gallons of water to wash a whole car compared to 70-100 gallons at any car wash place. I can do an ONR wash in 40 mins including wheels, glass and paint.

Weavers, thanks for chiming in.
I understand what you are saying and i really do enjoy doing ONR washes, honest BUT the reality of the situation is when you go into an office plex or big work campus, most times out of 10 the person who wants there car washed usually is the dirtiest ugliest nastiest one and truth be know ONR is not the ticket ... what I have done in this situation is fill up my two buckets, wash it up traditionally and rinse with the nomad ... works OK but takes time and is a pain and doesnt look very professional.
What i'd like to do is pull up crank it up, roll out the hose blast off the dirt, lather it up, rinse it, dry and dress it and on to the next.

To me mobile detailing is about convince, and a better job done. People are willing to pay more because of this. Its about the image you want to project. I am sure use a pressure washer and a foam lance, sheep skin mitts, uber plush mf towels and a two hour car wash will make you look better than any detailing service in town. But only passer-byers are gonna see that and high end luxury car owners too.

I agree ONR doesn't work for muddy daily drivers. I am a small time mobile detailer. my service and image are different. There are all kinds of marketing tools and gimmicks you can us and they all work to some extent, just pick and choose the ones you like. I like selling the image of "green" here in California. if you charge 5 dollars for a wash, your gonna get clients that expect a 50 dollar detail service for 5 dollars. Think about appealing your client base and what kind of cars you want to do.

I agree with you a lot of times I rather just blast a car with a pressure wash and want it to be done and clean. Sorry I don't know of any products or machines like that.

You may want to check out the thread started by Kristopher1129. He just set up his mobile van and has set things up really well in that. Also, there are some pics and others have chimed in with their set up. May be a great place to start.
