The best thing to do is contact Tornador themselves to see what can be field upgraded or not.

Buy Genuine Tornador Car Cleaning Tools and Parts Here
Tornador Tools: 972-248-8542

In looking at my Tornador Black there is a rotation replacement kit found here:
TB-200RS

Here is a pic of mine with the cone removed. If yours has a similar assembly nut, I don't see why you can't order the part and replace it on yours.

With that said, you should check with Tornador first to ensure that:
a.) you do not damage your tool;
b.) you do not modify it in a way that can cause harm to yourself or the vehicle you're working on.

I hope this helps.

Since the valve bodies have different thread patterns, I would expect that you cannot upgrade just by getting parts, unless you buy a lot of parts.

I checked with Tornador and you can upgrade it.

1. TB-600 Inner liquid tube

2. TB-404 Valve body

3. TB-200 RS Rotate set

4. TB-100 Black Cone

5. CT-023 Screw Sometimes these are difficult to salvage, if it is difficult to remove apply heat to loosen the thread locker, good for a back up

6. CT-228

Hope this helps

So it's possible but maybe not worth it. Guess I'll keep using my Gen 1 until is breaks or something.

What is the combined cost of these parts versus buying the "Blastor" upgrade?

$86, give or take. Not terrible if you already own a Z-010 and need to replace some parts anyway. The blastor is $50, if they put as much time into the tool as they did the wix website, then it should make a good paperweight.

Or you could get the knockoff from canada sold by the same guy that did the only side by side review I've seen of the Z-020 and knockoff, only $120.
