Toro 51585 160mph Power Sweep Electric Blower
$35

Toro 51619 250mph Ultra Electric Blower
$75

Hey guys, I will be using this blower specifically to dry my Honda CRV off each week.

Which blower would you guys use?
Is 250mph overkill? Or does the 160mph have enough power to get the job done good?

Thankyou everyone!

I have no experience with either of those, but recently purchased a Worx wg520 and it puts out 600 cfm. I also have a Metro Sidekick and a McKee's Turbo dryer, and the Worx moves much more air than either of them.

i would just get the 160mph leaf blower (light too). don't expect to chase every drop of water when drying with it or any blowing device for that matter. if you have some protection on the car the water should blow right off and very little will be remaining which you can catch with a microfiber towel. if there is any doubt just get the more expensive one...

Visitor, yeah I just compounded, polished, then applied 2 coats of WOLFGANG DGPS this week, and it hasn't seen a drop of water till I clean it on Friday. So water should be flying off that thing! Thanks again for your help man!

Get the 250mph Ultra.

I learned long ago to always buy the most tool that you can afford.

Nothing more awful than that feeling you get when cranking up the tool for the first time only to wish it had a little more power, then that voice in your head saying "Damn, I KNEW I should have gotten that more powerful one".

This goes for blowers, cordless drills, lawn mowers, table saws, and as we all know--- Polishers.

Again, this is just my opinion, but one I strongly believe in.

I second this guy, always buy the tool with the most specs/power other wise your be returning it or trying to sell it for the one that you did need.

I have both the Toro 51619 and the Worx WG520. I want to like the Worz more... and it had it's advantages... but I like the Toro a little better. The Worz puts out more air but the difference is that it's very much spread out with the larger opening. The better part about this is that it covers more paint area. The downside is that the air speed is much lower. The Toro does a very good job removing water and I highly recommend it. The downside is that the air is very concentrated. This does not really bother me that much as it just means I need to cover a smaller area. But it removes the water much better.
