Just curious what some othets might be doing.

I usually do a rinseless wash (ONR) once a week on my cars. I also usually scrub the tires with soap and water and clean the rims as well. I am wondering if I shouldn't scrub the tires every week since it seems to remove the dressing (opti bond tire gel), so i have to reapply. Is it necessary to scrub every week, or can i just top the tires with a little more opti bond to freshen them up? The tires usually look a little faded after a week anyway.

Thanks,
Neil

Hi Neil,

If your tires looks satisfy you and cleaning them every two weeks seems to fit the bill then yes, do them every two weeks. Scrubbing them with a brush and tire cleaner will indeed remove any tire you previously applied.

Personally speaking, I wash mine weekly and reapply to get that freshly detailed look...

I usually top mine with new tire shine and scrub them occasionally when they are getting dirty or have a build up. Purple power or another apc (megs apc+ doesn't seem to work well) should strip it quickly for you.
