I currently own a 2003 Lancer Evolution and absolutely love the car, but I'm thinking of trading it for a Mazdaspeed 6 (would think about a Mazdaspeed 3, but I need AWD due to the weather here in Reno). The reason is it would be a more comfortable car to daily drive and has a nicer interior. Not as fast or as much of a track car than an Evo, but still fun and from what I've seen may be a little more reliable. I would be doing small upgrades to it (full exhaust, boost controller, intercooler and piping, intake and minor suspension upgrades) as well. The dealership I worked at in GA got one in and offered me a straight up trade, no cash would change hands, for my Evo, but the car didn't have leather and if I'm going to buy this car i'd really like leather. Just looking for any input from anyone who has had experience with these cars.

thats tough man...i wouldnt get rid of the evo tho lol..but i understand what your going threw

It was killing me just seeing that MS6 sitting in the back lot just calling my name at the dealership lol. But later that day a salesman was showing a car and a customer saw my Evo and asked if it was for sale lol

Whats the worst weather you can have in Reno? A car with the right tires on can make a difference.

dont know the car specifically, but as for leather you can add it later at any upholstery shop for under a grand. Usually nicer leather too ...

You could do as Scott said, I have a couple friends who sent their seats to Katzkin, leather job was done very nice with custom embroidery. I think the Mazda Speed 6 is a nice car for the money and it looks nice as well, if it was a TT V6 it would be even better.

True about the leather and I could get leather seats for my Evo now. I have a friend thats willing to trade me, but its just not that. If you've ever ridden or driven an Evo its a very rough car and Im thinking i might like something a littler softer (like the MS6) but still fun a sporty.

As far as the weather here its been snowing all last week. We've gotten another 6-8 feet just this week in the mtns and since I go snowboarding AWD is something that really helps lol.

Was thinking about it. I'd need to get the stock parts too.

damn i just threw a stock evo exhaust in the trash the other day because my friend wouldnt get it outa my garage and no body would buy it on ebay or craigslist
