I would like to trade some products to try others. I do not know "the rules" of AG on trading. Where are they posted. I am not a scammer and i know that can be a concern with a new member. I am a new member so I will throw this out there. I will send my product first, but only to a member who has been here for a while that can provide a good string of references. I think that fair. I am looking to establish a good Autogeek reputation.

I have too much stuff and want to try some other products. I thnik this is a great way to start experimening with other polishes and LSP's. I have benn searching for the best products for my needs. That has led me to an oversrtocked situation on alot of products.

Once I have the rules, I list the items I have for trade and what I would like to try.

Question:
Do you need to send the whole bottle (balance of bottle) or is it acceptable to pour of X ounces from a large bottle to a secondary container? I have alot of products in large sizes.

Autogeek themselves do not get invloved in trading as things can go south and they have no control over what each of us does. Any arrangements we members make are between us and only our responsibility.

As far as how much you send, what you send it in, etc.: I would just say make it very clear to the member exactly what the deal is and make sure they make it clear on their end.

I'd be interested in this as well.

Not even sure what section of the forum something like this would go in?

I agree with CEE DOG, just make sure you're both VERY clear on what the deal is. Just be honest through the entire transaction. Even if YOU don't think something is a big deal, the other party may not have that same outlook.

Personally, with any online deals I make, whether it be Craigslist, ebay, or even here, I like to go above and beyond what most people consider normal business. I've been known to take several pictures of what I'm selling/trading/sending out, and have even taken pictures of tracking receipts and sent them to the receiver, just to ease their mind that I sent out what they paid for.

I'm sure I've even annoyed some people through PMs on other forums because I want them to feel good about their purchase. So I usually send a PM with every step I take in sending out their package. One when I have everything boxed up, another when I'm going to UPS/USPS/FedEx, etc., and then another when it's been shipped, to provide them with a tracking number.

I also like the OPs thought in sending the product out first to the veteran member, which does show a lot of integrity and trust. That's a good way to build your reputation, that's for sure!

Just be consistent and honest. If you're going out of town, tell the person up front so they have the chance to decline the deal. Don't let them wait until you get home from a 2 week trip to find out why you never sent their package. That's a good way to ruin the reputation you took a year to earn.
