Hello

I'm currently correcting a 2008 Lexus RX (black) and i'm having issues with the paint. I started correcting the paint with an orange pad+m105 but the pads is kinda sticking on the paint. It squeaks after 2-3 passes and I have to put lots of pressure in order to control my Makita 9227.

I also tried orange pad+ SIP but i get the same problem. What did work is surbuf pad + m105 but it's taking too long.

What can i do ?

Thanks

Heavily oxidized paint ? Or is the surbuff sticking? If the latter, then over application of product.

i wouldnt say its heavily oxidized. Its got a ton of swirl marks

From what I've seen of vehicles in your area, what you guys call "light", is heavy in my book...kinda like what I've seen on kc's and seech's threads...even though not same geographic locale.

Maybe a paint cleaner first.

Hopefully you'll get your answer soon.

and how do you know where my location is :P?

Alright guys! It's all good now! LC PFW + 105 and then LC White + 205!

I was sooo frustrated !

I try to keep up with my detailing friends. I'm kinda burned out tonight, mistook your forum name for someone else. My bad. Glad things worked out :dblthumb2:

Lexus paint is very soft and can be finicky... I was able to correct moderate swirls on my IS250 using a black finishing pad and M205.

Very true! I can pull out swirls with SF4000 and a white pad on mine
