looking for suggestions on keeping ice from forming on the wipers and arms on my commute. I usually wipe them down with D156 but was wondering if there is something better.
Thanks

i have heated strips on my windshield where my wipers sit. I dont know how i lived before them.

Nothing will keep ice from forming. Aside from moving to the West Coast or FL.

Use your defroster? I have never had ice form on them once I was actually driving.

I guess MD is odd then. I've seen many people over the years with this issue. Guess I'll stick with the D156 wipe down.

I had ice form on my windscreen as I washed it before stopping to buy food for work!

I keep a bottle of carbonated water so I can clear the ice off quickly. It's also good for road film

Luckily most of the silly drivers were doing 75 mph in rear wheel drives in the outside lane!

But I follows dads advice which was sit behind a truck at 50 and you will get there son, driving like an ass does not impress anyone ever!

A bit late for this year, but winter wiper blades have been around since not long after whippletree blades were invented. Essentially, a winter blade uses a flexible rubber cover over the whippletree mechanism. On my personal cars I switch to brand new Michelin-brand winter wiper blades ($9.99 each at Costco) every fall, and in spring get new blade inserts for OE Honda blades (the best wiper blades made) every spring. These days you can also get aero blades that don't use a whippletree, mitigating the effects of ice to an extent.
