Trim Kote Dye Streaks

ok so I tried Trim Kote black about a week ago. I noticed that no matter how little or how much I used it would leave steaks and dried that way. I used a microfiber applicator pad, a microfiber towel, and a foam wawith x applicator pad. They all left streaks with using a little to a lot of dye.

I cleaned the heck out of the trim first with APC and a brush and then straight Alcohol with a towel.

I am not sure what to do to get a uniform look to it at this point. I used a lot thinking it would level itself out .. it didnt .. I used less thinking I could blend it in together and it was kinda patchy.

anyone here use a dye with good results? if so what dye and how did you do it?

Solution Finish..clean well and apply thin coats.
