Looking for the best trim restoration product that will last for over a year. Not looking to use any paints or dyes. Just a simple wipe on and off.

Thanks :)

Here are a few that will last a while, not sure a year, but a good while and you can just wipe on and off:

Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant, rubber trim sealant, rubber protectant, exterior trim products, metal sealer

Ultima Tire & Trim Guard Plus, tire & trim protectant, tire dressing, rubber protectant

Black WOW Trim Restorer, exterior trim restore, rubber protectant

If you want a true year or longer, you need this:

CQuartz DLux Plastic & Wheel Coating - however this product does require the surface to be cleaned.

In fact, to truly get durability out of any product, the surface should be cleaned prior to use.

And he is one last product that also requires a clean surface:

303 Automotive Trim Restorer Protectant

llively, if you are looking for a years protection, it will be tough to find, if you have a daily driver. Maybe one of the coatings out there will be able to provide that, but could be expensive.

To me, paints and dyes are uncool also. I currently use WETS(Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant), and it's the best I have ever used. It brings faded trim back to black or original color. If really faded, it may take a few coats. It is super easy to apply, very durable compared to most of the offerings out there, leaves a beautiful satin look to trim, you get a bunch of product for the price. Don't let the small bottle fool you, it goes a long way. And you can use it on tires for a beautiful satin black look as well.

Check out the reviews and posts on it if you can. I love it, and a lot others do also!

Take care man!

I've used the Blackfire Trim Sealant and really like it. It is not a dye/paint, but does darken and protect trim.

BLACKFIRE Total Trim & Tire Sealant, plastic trim restorer, tire coating, long lasting tire shine

While I seriously doubt I'll ever get a year worth of protection out of it, I am seeing it steadily last longer. I don't know if it is a cumulative effect from multiple applications over time, or the weather was milder this winter. Right now I'm around five months and the trim still looks new and water is still beading on the surface.

^^^ :iagree: ^^^

And to add:
Why would anyone want to go the "Band-Aid"
route: "a temporary enhancement solution"...
instead of a decidedly "more permanent"
restoration solution—where no paints are used?

IMO...When it comes to trim restoration:
Products like Solution Finish; ValuGuard's ETR III;
and Gatorback...are all that and a bag of chips. :xyxthumbs:

Thanks everyone! I just hate putting in a ton of work to see it fade away in a month or two. I dont mind doing the prep work if it will give me 6 months.

Solution Finish works amazing as a restorer. The only place I find it not to work well is rubber moulding, where Black Wow Pro performs well. I keep both because of this.

I use PoorBoys Trim Restore on my Jeep fenders. I put a few coats on and let it bake in the sun. After Imwasthe Jeep Imwill Apply PoorBoys Natural Look. Keeps them black.
