I'm considering trying a paste wax for the first time--I've only used liquid waxes and Collinite #845 has been my go to for the longest. I was looking at the Dodo Juice line & my car is Sandrift Beige (there's metallic flake in there). I attached a pic [not my car] but I don't have a clean pic :p

I read SON1C's reviews of Banana Armor/Orange Crush/Light Fantastic as well as others. Anyone have a suggestion for this color? Seems OC or BA might be good...

Well since you mentioned that Collinite #845 has been your go to LSP, I would say that you have to give Collinite #915 a try. Collinite #915 is often compared to waxes many times its price and better yet instead of the normal 8oz you get with most paste waxes you get 12oz. If you wanted to you could use #845 as a sealant and then layer #915 over it, this way you will take advantage of #845s durability and #915s unbeatable looks for the price.

I'd go with CG Pete's 53, for the money great wax and definitely a great starter wax. It'll put some bling in that metallic flake too. It's a great all around product. This is Blacklight topped with Pete's 53.

I really like Blue Velvet Pro. That's a tough color. I think Fuzion would look good on it if the paint was all polished up.

DoDo Light Fantastic and as for Fuzion, just think for that price you could get a porter cable starter kit! And thne add the CG Blacklight Pete's 53 V-7 combo and you'd be good to go. I have ALL the products mentioned so I'm just sharing my humble opinion.

Dodo Juice Rainforest Rub over Blackfire Wet Diamond sealant is a nice combo. Here's how it looks on my mom's car (similar color):

Of course, the paint is also about 90 - 95% perfect. Proper prep is key to the final look.

What are you looking to spend?

Truthfully, I didn't want to spent more than $30-$40 since I'm trying something new--just wanted to branch out from Collinite and see what's out there.

I hadn't heard much about 915--will give it a look!

I had looked at CG XXX Hardcore & Pete's 53 as well.

Yeah, I have never machine polished my car--like ever--so I'm waiting until finances get a little better and I intend to get a DA. I know it will make the paint look a lot better than it does now. Hopefully it will be in the next month or so.

Back in the 80's I used Rain Dance paste wax, some may not know of it but I loved it.
In the 90's I got away from paste wax, found liquid waxes easier to apply but now back to using paste wax.
I'm hooked on Meg's GoldClass Paste wax, sure there are better waxes out there but for 10 bucks it's hard to beat.
Easy on and wipes off fairly easy and last just as long as most waxes.
If I was to try another brand I'd buy CG'S Pete's 53 but for now I'm happy with my $10.00 wax:)
After doing my black RAV4 I noticed a dark, deep shine which surprised me some for such a lower cost wax, it can be found anywhere, another benefit.
A little goes a long way so this tub should last me two years.
