I got my hands on a bottle of the new Ulitma Acrylic Spray Wax and was pretty excited to give it a try after seeing some of the great reviews on it. I have been very fortunate to have been involved in the testing and use of Ulitma products since their release years ago. I can still remember their release of Ultima Paint Guard Plus which was one of the original WOWA sealants. To this day I can`t say that I have used an Ultima product that I was disappointed with. So much so that I am proud to have the Ultima line have my Super Black Nissan 350Z on all of their products.

Product Description

Ultima Acrylic Spray Wax
Size: 22 oz
Price: TBD

Claims:
Boosted with Polycharger
Reduces Water Spotting
Creates a slick Hydrophobic Shield

1. Scent-None
2. Use and application: I applied Ultima Acrylic Spray wax by spraying onto the paint surface and buffing with a micro fiber towel. I also used it in high temps with high humidity.
3. Thoughts: I found Ultima Acrylic Spray wax to be excellent. No streaking at all on both light and dark colors even in warm temps and humidity. The end result was a very high gloss and very slick finish. I also tried it on glass with no issues of streaking.

Cons
The only con I can see with this product is the price point compared to other spray waxes on the market. I think this product if expensive for a 22 ounce bottle might not be cost efficient for the professional detailer when compared to other spray waxes like Meguiars D156 etc. All and all I was very pleased with the Ultima Acrylic spray waxes use and results and found it to be a contender to many of the other spray waxes.

So is this kind of like a "UPGP light"? Basically a maintenance product for UPGP?

I guess I'm thinking along the lines of how many of these companies have their sealant and then a maintainance product (ex. Megs ULW + Ultimate spray wax, or DG 105 + Aquawax).

I saw this over at CP and have been eager for its release.

What does “acrylic” mean? Does it mean that this wax is like a plastic cover once it cures?
