This Ferrari has been sitting in one spot for over 2 years. Sadly it has been vandalized and used as a litter box for some critter. The owners wife came to look at it and was really sad about the condition it was in and it turns out she is ill and with all that her illness brings they can't look after it as they would like. She asked if I would wash it as they want to get it towed and fixed.

I couldn't wash it with my pressure washer and suds because 2 cars were parked right next to it and I couldn't move it because the battery is long dead....and some moron cut, ripped or punched a hole in the convertible top!

So I broke out the Optimum No Rinse and put it to the mother of all tests to date.

Here is what two years of dust and grime look like.

Notice the stains? That's where a cat decided to leave a few gifts.

Here is where some fool keyed the crap out of the drivers door.

Before I started this I wondered if it was even possible to see out the windshield.......umm, that would be a negative:eek:

I did have to hose down 2 areas with a very light flow of water. These were the front and rear lid fins or vents. The stuff accumulated in there was incredible and the ONR method just wasn't flushing the stuff out. Other than that all other exterior surfaces were done with ONR, about 4, 3 gallon buckets were needed to get it all off plus 4 large towels. I still have the wheels and front and rear fenders to do later this week.

So here are a few shots of the Ferrari after a No Rinse wash.....I'll be detailing it some time later as it needs a new top, paint and body work plus who knows how much motor/transmission work.

She also wants the interior done but I'm afraid to go in there as something might be living in there :D

some cars should be donated to a better cause ...

1) How did they just leave a car for 2 years? They forget about it?

2) Scotts right, they might be better off donating it. Guessing the interior has mold or something with the top torn? That looks like an old Mondial right? Talk about $$$ repairs, the old motors were finicky as hell, sitting that long doing nothing....ouch

Well the torn top is recent, within the last month, and actually there is no mold in the interior from what I can see.

The people have the money to fix it BUT I don't know if they realize just how expensive it may be....that top is over $2k I'm sure.

New tires, door repair because it was keyed, bumper repair because it was backed into, broken antenna and then we have engine work$$$$

It will be an interesting detail when it all gets done......or maybe they need to donate it to a Hollywood movie set for some car chase!??:D

Yeah - I don't care what's going on in your life, if you can't take 10 minutes to arrange a tow for a Ferrari in 2+ years, you obviously don't care anything about the car.

That said, you did a great job, even with what you had to work with!

What an incredible difference with just onr

Man that was a nasty Ferrari! That is just wrong for people to key it and write stuff on it and to punch/cut a hole in the top. Great job on the wash!

You made it look like it's got a chance. Good going. Fun to see what the ONR can do.

It's not mold on the steering wheel but just dust.....and lots of it.

I'll try and post some updated pics next week. The paint is single stage and in desperate need of some luvin and I was almost tempted today to take a buffer to it but I had way too much work going on.

Maybe next week.

It sad to see a nice car to neglected. I'm sure you can bring it back to life Anthony. One of my friends just got a new top for his 360 spyder. The Ferrari dealer wanted over $10,000 just for the top without labor. He was able to go directly to the manufacturer and purchase the same top for $2,500. Sometimes both Ferrari and Lamborghini have deals with their suppliers which prevents them from selling the parts to none dealers. The markup both Ferarri and Lamborghini dealers put on parts makes your sick when you have to get it from them.

That is amazing how you were able to clean it so well with ONR and under those conditions.

What a crime that it was left like that for so long and then someone keyed it?! That is just so wrong.

What model Ferrari is it? I'd like to see a full picture, but I'm guessing the tight quarters made that difficult.

$10, 000!!! Holy fabric rip off Batman! Man that's a lot of money, heck I'm not sure the car itself is worth that much.

It's a Mondial Ferrari and I can get some better pics but I need to get there early before the garage fills up. I'll try and post some next week.
