It has been almost a year since I blogged last, almost at the verge of giving up detailing! if I were to tell anyone that I have not been in detailing ...... most of you would believe (as some may have asked about me from my previous joint)! but yet my Passion did not stop! and I have moved on since last Year back on my own....as always my way with my passion....did many more ride and yet to find time to post!

God has always been very kind of me.....for allowing me to handle such an exotic ride.....

The McLaren MP4-12C is an exotic sports car from the same British company that produced the legendary F1 supercar. A purpose-built two-seater with a midmounted, twin-turbocharged V8, the MP4-12C pushes modern automotive technology to its limits, and the result is a uniquely composed and confidence-inspiring drive

therefore all dressing oil had to be removed prior coating!
proper preparation is the ultimate important for these unpainted plastic

Amazing work in an amazing car, my friend! Wow!
What really bothered me was the previous detailer, treating this gem like it was a Corolla 1998. What a shame!

so with Opti-Leather, do you apply it with applicator and then massage it in with microfiber until it's no longer shiny?

Thanks for your question, apologies for my late reply....been busty detailing :buffing:

it takes 10 minutes for the OPTI Leather to settle down

few key points to note
1. material working in - leather - synthetic leather, Alcantara, PV, Suede

the least OPTI LEATHER coated require is leather - synthetic leather, PV (10ml) per car interior

double strength material OPTI LEATHER coated require will be on suede, alcantara and some leather (20-25ml) per car interior

2. damp the sponge - drip 1-2 dots of OPTI LEATHER coat and even out with wiping,

3.leave for 10 minutes prior wiping with MF

Not to worry, if you find streaks, use ONR as QD , mist and wipe away with MF after 30 minutes

have fun

Absolutely beautiful.
No crevice left untouched.
Was it difficult to remove the wax residue from the matte plastic parts? Those are always my biggest worry. My fear would always be making the matte part shiny.
Are those wheels easy to get to the back side to clean the barrels without taking them off the car? My hands just can't reach those hard to hit areas anymore.

I bet you had one happy customer.:dblthumb2:

Thanks oldmodman fior your kind words of encouragement

Was it difficult to remove the wax residue from the matte plastic parts? YES, absolutely, they are like black board with Liquid Paper on...kerosene is most people use here
but i choose OPC - safe for my hands and the car

Those are always my biggest worry. My fear would always be making the matte part shiny. YES, do it gently - be as wise as a serpent but be as gentle as a dove

Are those wheels easy to get to the back side to clean the barrels without taking them off the car? My hands just can't reach those hard to hit areas anymore.

we do not have the luxury of having the cars for days and further more, this is a new car,

we suggest you to try using lots of long narrow brushes instead of hand or finger

lastly have fun:xyxthumbs::xyxthumbs:

Hi Davey g-force
thanks for your kind words of encouragement

I sad to say when you turn your passion in business, not many partner or staff would carry your passion through.
and sad to say they do cut corners!

I have trained over hundred of folks how to handle a wild horse like Makita M9227 and make it tame for work....a beautiful stallion but sad to see how your own staff whack my client car!
I told myself enough is enough! crab will be always crab and they wouldn't be able to changed to a fish

I would not use anything that which will hurt my skin nor health on my clients car but others does!

I remember we were taught in sunday school
"do unto other what you want others to do unto you"

Now that defines the word "detailing" great work.

:dblthumb2: thank you for your kind words custmprty

Beautiful work. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you AZ Mike for your kind words

apologies for the messy posting
as I have almost forgotten how to post....after 2 years have not done so

Cheers to all my detailer friends out there
