Hi guys, well I have an update for you. Post #31 is some better interior shots

Post #32 is updates on the tire (1 week) and trim (2 weeks)

Details are in the thread but the rain did make it take a hit. However still holding up fairly well for the rain it received. I'll be doing another wheel this weekend with DP and Perl 1/2 and 1/2 for comparison.

Thanks for the update Corey. 3 coats of PERL is the key. I just tried 3 coats this week and it looks really good. I can't wait to see how it holds up.

But 3 coats is a bit much ... Maybe for a high end details this would be nice but for my production shop this really wouldn't fit cost wise ... Megs HD gets my pockets fatter as it is also dual purpose (interior/exterior)
But nice sheen with Perl .... Btw CeeDog have you seem/found that SUV tires don't yield the same results as the smaller walled sports cars?

Thanks Pat! :props:

Fred, I have noticed a big difference in many different types of tires. I think age, brand, and size do all make a difference.

What I really notice on the sizes is the low profile tires seem to be difficult to clean but a mf towel seems to clean the tire much better than a brush.

As far as cost it takes very little if you mean product. If you mean labor I could see an argument but I think I could apply 2-3 coats of PERL 1:1 just as fast as I could apply one coat of a regular dressing neat. The only issue is that you need to allow the layer dry before applying the next... So after the car is washed and dry for instance you can apply the first coat. Then do the interior before applying the second coat. Then spray some reload or ocw or something on the paint before applying the 3rd layer. Of course there's many other things to work on. Just depends on what the cars in for.

I will post later with a figure on cost and amount of product for 3 layers on one vehicle. Gotta download my picture of my bottle of product to show how much I've used on the last 4-5 cars.
