Use Menzerna to remove swirl marks on new car

I'm not sure about the Menzerna products but I'm a vender for a Mazda dealership and the Meguiars 105 or 101 and 205 combo works great. The Mazda paint is a little on the hard side but it's very workable. Paint is THIN so be careful. If you drive it a lot I'd recommend getting a clear bra to cover the front bumper/hood/mirrors. I do touch-up and spot buffing for them and they keep me busy.
 
It's hard to tell you if the SIP will work or not.

There are many variables including the hardness of your paint and the severity of the swirls.

Do a test spot with it on a LC orange pad, speed 5* and see if you like the results...

*assuming you have a PC-type DA
 
You can use this to remove the swirl marks. Remember to perform a test spot. Also what finishing polish do you have on hand to finish up with?

BTW, what machine and pads?

Since you indicated that the car has "some swirl marks"...

Your Test Spot should NOT start with compound and an Orange pad. You want to try the least aggressive method 1st. A better starting point would be a SIP and a White pad. By starting with this combo, you may even be able to skip a 2nd polishing step and go straight to 845.

Because the SIP uses diminishing abrasives, I suggest working it for 6 passes. If you are removing all the swirls with 6 passes, but are seeing a haze, like the paint is not perfectly clear...do another test spot using 4 passes with moderate downward pressure on the machine and on the last two passes use lighter pressure. Maintain slow to moderate arm speed during all passes.

I've removed swirls in VAG hard paint with SF4000, the deeper ones were removed with PF2500 on an orange LC pad, didnt need to go more aggressive?
 
I agree with Allen, in that generally you should not start with an orange pad.

But.... (I'm assuming) your Mazda has black metallic paint called Black Mica, one that I've done several times. Customer and son-in-law have a Mazda 3, one is the Mazdaspeed version. ;)

SI1500 with the orange CCS (or flat) pad will do it if it's not too bad. Follow that with 2000 or 2500 and you're good to go. :dblthumb2:

I'd still start with a white pad and FG400 to see if it'll correct the worst of it.
It is not a soft paint at all.

I've used 101 on it with foam pads and D300 (with microfiber and foam) to correct the worst of it. That's why I mentioned FG400 to perhaps start with.

If that's the only polish you have, I'd start with the least aggressive pad. Perhaps go black, white and lastly try orange. Just remember that with SIP you may want to follow that up with a finer polish. Your test spot will tell you if you need to.
