Nice weather, still on vacation and I finally got to use the Flex for the first time today. I only waxed using NXT 2.0 and it could be my imagination, but because of the forced rotation, it seemed to do a better job applying wax.
I do believe this is a toy, I mean tool that I'm really going to like. Can't wait to get a car with swirls.

I've used mine to apply sealants and liquid waxes and it makes short work of it for sure. I have worked the daylights out of my 3401 and it really is a tough tool. I mainly use it for doing the finish polishing after the cutting steps with a rotary.

Good deal, glad to see that you finally got a chance to use it! I have my brother-in-law's black Expedition lined up which is in BAD need of paint restoration. I told him I'd give him a freebie if he let me have his car for a day to play with. :D

goathead, you're a lot faster than I am. I'd need that Ford for at least a day and a half, of course, that's the old man in me coming out plus I'm a little out of shape from the colder weather..

I'm going to use that Flex for everything I can. I wished they still made the adapter backing plates for them so I could put 4" pads on for headlight correction. Has anyone heard anything about that or is it dead in the water.

Do you mean the Edge adapter ??

Haven't heard anything. Thank goodness I got my adapter just in time. Love my flex too.

Thank you, that's what I meant. Not a lot of talk about it so I couldn't think of it right away. Wish I could find someone who had one they'd like to sell or trade.

I've been looking into the same exact thing and what I'm leaning towards is actually this spot-buff kit that you can use either with the DA or a drill. For the small areas that you need it for I'm thinking that the drill might be a good option and more maneuverable. CCS Spot Buffs 4 Inch Foam Pad Kit Free Bonus!

I have a G110v2 with the 3" backing plate so I can use that. I've tried using a drill for headlights but talk about no control. That thing goes all over the place.

I'm thinking that they must have only made a few hundred Edge adapters, otherwise I think some would be available.

Did you call AG just for the heck of it maybe they have one ??
