Using a Wax on Top of a Sealant

I'm currently using Sonax Polymer Net Shield sealant on my Q5. I was wondering if its a good idea or if I should be applying a wax on top of the sealant? If so, any recommednations.

If you like the looks of the sealant I would not top it. Also the wax on top of a sealant would change the beading and other characteristics of your Sonax PNS. With that being said, I get bored and inevitably put wax on my sealant:)

I do this quite frequently and you going to get a lot of don't do it it's a waste of time and some the opposite. I am in the wax over sealant category. I enjoy it. Other times I will apply 2 coats of wax instead. But since you use the Sonax sealant I would suggest applying Sonax Carnauba wax on top of the sealant. That would be in the family product and less chance of any hiccups.

I would give it a try and you can see if applying a wax over a sealant is worth it or not. Only YOU can be the judge. I am in the wax over sealant from 1st hand experience.
 
I would and do top sealants all the time. Even on AGs page for WG sealant thy say to top it. Longer longevity, and wax usually gives that deep shine sealants just don't give.

I say a sealant should always be topped with a wax.

Another popular combo is power lock and collinite.

I wanted to thank everyone on the quick responses. First time posting here and definitely impressed with the speed and quality of the feedback. Being an Audi owner I posted detailing questions on some Audi Forum sites and have not received much good feedback. Based on everyone's feedback I think I'll stay within the Sonax family and look for one of their waxes. Really appreciated the BLINK20/free shipping special yesterday, took advantages of the great deal, though I should have posted this question earlier to include the wax in my order.

I normally top sealant with a wax. One of my favorites is Menzerna Sealant topped with Blackfire Midnight Sun. It really looks great and seems to last a long time. Some people like to top and some don't. It's all according to taste I guess. Normally in winter I top with Collinite 845. Last all winter.

Thanks. Roughly how long between reapplications of the Blackfire Midnight Sun?
 
Since I used Sonax Polymer Net Shield and based on recommendations it sounds like it may be best to stay with a SONAX wax, these are the waxes made by Sonax - Sonax High Speed Wax, Sonax Nano Technology Liquid Wax and Sonax Premium Class Carnauba Wax. Is the High Speed Wax more like a detailing spray? I'm thinking the best results would be using the Carnauba Wax and not sure about the Nano Technology Liquid Wax. Any insight to how these products would work witht he Polymer Net Shield is much appreciated. TIA
