So as some of you may know from my last thread about my headlight correction on a ford focus, I recently took the plunge and officially opened Utopian Detailing. Below is my first paint correction customer and the vehicle is a 2007 Nissan 350z. I took a ton of pictures buy I need to get the play on the angles down a little bit better so I apologize for the lack of evidence. Please enjoy and let me know what you think!!!!

Wash:
Dodo Juice BOB dilution
(2 bucket method)
Degreased with Poor Boys APC dilution 5:1

Pinnacle Clay Lubricant

Correction:

This is my first correction that I am showing... any advice/feedback/comments would be appreciated. Everyone here has been so helpful and I truly appreciate all the feedback and plethora of information everyone from the staff to forum members have provided!
 
Good work the car looks awesome in that last pic.

Question for you, where there deep scratches that you couldn't get out? On the pic of the passenger side rear panel, looks like there are some scratches.

Thanks for the feedback. Yes there were some deeper scratches... I actually didnt see them until after i looked at the panel from the opposite side.. I ended up getting them out as well but at that point, my camera died, it was late, and I didnt want to setup the lighting again so I just finished the rest of the car....
 
Great job. Especially on your first correction. The 50/50's look great and they really tell the story.

Thanks BMW! This really got me in gear to purchase a rotary... I was using a DA the entire time but had to use the makita to get out the deeper scratches... I borrowed my neighbors because I needed some more cutting power... So I now know what's next on my list of purchases!

BTW thanks for commenting on my flexibility lol

Nice job on your first customer car!! The car look good. I'll suggest using a thin masking tape to cover the edge of the protective film near the rear fender to keep the polish residue from being pushed into it while doing your correction process. It looks like there is a white line there unless that is just a light reflection from the camera flash.
 
I think you did a great job on a beautiful car ( I may be a little bias)

Continue to do work like this and your name and company will spread and you will be busy.
 
Tuscarora - Thanks for the kind words... The owner purchased the car used and it had some horribly damaged carbon fiber pieces on it... It made it look horrible... At his request he wanted the spoiler that was held on with 3m adhesive removed which is what caused that white line. He is planning on purchasing a carbon fiber hatch and hood in the very near future which is why he didnt mind it at all!

Blackz - Thanks for the compliments. I love the 350z... in fact I would have purchased one myself instead of my Altima but I just plain and simple didn't fit.... It was a sad day :(
 
Great job correcting the paint surface on this 350Z. The 350Z looks awesome. I love this color Blue on the Z. Keep up the great work and save pictures for a portfolio it helps when you show them to a new customer.

My only suggestion is to never where a skirt when taking a picture like the one in that last shot! :laughing:
