I just recently purchased a 2015 Mustang GT. I love the car but have found drying it is impossible. No matter what I do there are nothing but weepers and the Performance Pack wheels are a bear to clean and dry. I am considering using a blower. Any advise or suggested products to purchase?

Thank You!!!!Feed back please

I have the Metro Blaster Sidekick. It is very easy to use, convenient to handle and in spite of the small size, it really blasts out a strong airstream.

I use the Metro Vac-N-Blo and love it. The hose is plenty long enough to get 3/4 of the way around a car, then just swing around and get the other 1/4. Its a great vac too!!!

I have a Toro electric leaf blower and I'm very happy with it. It was around $60, very powerful (390cfm).

Thanks for the input everyone. I have noticed the high end, expensive, units also provide heat. Does anyone find this helpful? I do not mind spending the money as long as it is worth it.

I have the Metro Master Blaster that blows warm air and have found it to be an advantage over a previous blower and leaf blower I had than did not blow warm air.

Using a blower to dry a car with a good layer of protection is to enjoy car care even more. While it takes a bit of getting used to manipulating a high-powered air stream through a wand of some sort around a car without touching the paint, it is a breeze (NPI) to dry a Mustang-sized car in just a few minutes with forced air. I use an Air Wand attached to my Shop•Vac's detachable blower (the same blower as the DP Turbo mentioned above) and it puts out huge air.

To catch those last few drops that may be hiding in mouldings and trim, I'd suggest a pair of Dropnetics from Microfiber Madness, but if you're at all careful with the air you'll have removed almost all the hidden water.

Agreed, just bought one and I love it! It blows stronger than my leaf blower and it' just a bit bigger than an hairdryer.

Very surprising how much air is coming out of that tiny device!

After drying the car with a blower, do you guys usually go over it with a detail spray or spray wax or could you skip this step every other wash?

I bought the Chemical Guys Jet Blower; its basically a small light leaf blower and it works great. Having a Ford with that honey comb grill (Focus ST), its the only way to dry it without wrapping your finger in a towel! Works great on all the hard to reach spots.

I'm sure the Metro works the same however the CG one was readily available up here (Canada).

The Toro Power Sweep is top rated and costs less than $35. That's what I use and it works really well. Very satisfied. I thought about using the shop vac on blower, but have not got around to trying that. The motor is far more powerful and I have a 20 ft hose and all attachments. Anyone try the shop vac?

I started to give this a shot, but I've only got one hose and use it for suction......The other day I was just playing around with it as a blower and stepped on the hose by accident...out came a puff of dust (grit).......Not crazy about that......Think I'm just going to invest $35 in a cheap leaf blower......I figure a 2nd hose would cost me about that much and it's probably a bigger pain to store than a small leaf blower......

BTW I've got a leaf blower on hand, but it also vacuums and I've used it to pick up leaves before, so for the same reason as above I don't want to use it for drying either.....

You nailed the reason for the development of the DP Turbo Dryer. We take so much care in the processes to make sure we have the perfect paint. We wanted you to have a dedicated tool for drying with the right features but most of all made the job easier and safe.

Another vote for the Master Blaster because, well, I own one.

(and love it).

Hey, Tim! Welcome!

I'm using my Shop•Vac 6.5's blower core for car drying and it's truly a beast. I'm not worried about blowing dirt on my car as none of the air-mover's passages ever see any dirt under normal conditions when vacuuming, by design.

Can you tell me if it's safe to drill a couple of small holes on each side handle to attach d-rings for a shoulder strap?
