Hello, can anyone give me a suggestion on what type of a vacuum to buy for a full-service car wash? I need something that would be heavy duty enough to use all day. Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks!

I bought a rigid from homedepot and it is awesome, however with my new set up it was too big 15 gallons 5HP. So I recently bout a cobalt 5 gallon 5.5HP and love that also. Has good power and it comes with both a bag and regular filter. Those are my recommendations, depending on your set up is what you can go with, I personally love the portability of the cobalt and for about $80 it's worth it, doesn't have wheels but I don't care.

If your not doing this mobile get a rigid from home depot, good suction and plenty of volume before you have to empty it, or unless money's not an object then I can recommend some others :)

Hi, no I am not going mobile, and I can put a little extra cash for a really good heavy duty vacuum, what did you have in mind?

Rigid Shop vacs are powerful, durable, and a great deal.

And no they didn't pay me to say that ..

Can anyone comment on a web site called Kleen-ritecorp.com that sells industrial commercial vacuums; there is one that costs $970.00 Item # VAI100002, would this be appropriate for my shop? Any help , please...............

Feed back please Bump......Bump......Bump.........Can anyone help a lady out here? Please!!!

if its a high volume car wash i dont think the rigid will put up to it because they fill up quick, has cords, rolls around risking tipping over, more inefficient in a high volume car wash enviroment. im thinking she needs an industrial vac. most likely instead of having multiple vacs and cords(big hassle and employees can trip) you have one main vac that is plumbed to the bays using some piping then you have connectors to connect vacuum hose to it and some nozzles. that would be the best option, remember not many people here deal with a high volume (most likely automatic) car wash.

Sorry I should've been more specific with my questions. What kind of setup do you have at your fixed location? Bays or one stall? What kind of budget are you looking to stay within? How many cars per day are you looking to run through this vac?

I plan on having bays (3) and use the power washer supermax 7000 because it will be a hand car wash and if the customer wants additional services there will be detailing which will include upholstery steam cleaning, ozone treatment, undercarriage/motor steam cleaning, etc. Customers? Well hoping for 30 a day in beginning. Thanks for all your help, guys. ;)
