Which one do you guys think works better of these two products, as in, which one gives a better deep look on the paint before waxing? I have some Megs 81, and I'm considering purchasing vanilla moose. But, if they both work well, then I don't have to buy yet another product, as my bank account can't take much more frivolous spending... :nomore:

man I loved Vanilla Moose (hand polish) and Red Moose (glaze). Havent thought of those products in a while. Havent used against the Megs product so cannot offer a review. The newer Dodo Lime Hand Polish is rather nice also.

I haven't used the Vanilla Moose Vanilla Moose Wax-Hand Glaze but the information on it makes it read like it's a cleaner/wax?

M81 Hand Polish is a non-abrasive, body shop safe polish or glaze. It has no protection characteristics like a wax.

AG carried the Clearkote line several years back and didnt remember "wax" being in title. Website suggests following up with Moose Wax but unsure of protection properties.

Hey,

Clearkote's Vanilla Moose Wax Hand Glaze is very different than Meguiar's M81 Hand Polish. VMW is a cleaner wax that removes mild oxidation. It contains a fair amount of oils and a pretty strong cleaner. Meg's M81 as Mike stated is a pure polish and not a cleaner wax.

I use VMW under P21S or M16 as will give a nice deep rich glow especially on dark colors. But on its own IMO, VMW does not last as long compared to a product like M16 etc. It does make a nice combo with another wax as it cleans well, leaves a nice rich looking glaze and when topped with another wax, it lasts a fair amount of time.

M81 looks awesome, and I tend to use it on darker paints that have been buffed out prior to its application. In other words, since the paint is cleaned already I am taking advantage of M81's TS Oils to help give the paint a deep rich look. Then I top with a Meguiar's sealant like M21.

The two products are very different and while no one likes to spend more money than they should, IMO, it is worth having both of these products... :)

I hope that helps! :)

Tim
