So I am working on a test panel here a dodge red hood. I already clay, wet sand and compounded it. I am trying to cover up these chips. Most of them are very small almost like a pen tip point just smaller. I already applied one coat of paint. The chips being so small even if I put just a bit of paint it turns in too a small bubble hump. So I don't know if I can apply more coats of paint after it dry and also the clear coat. Any suggestions here????

Didn't somebody on here do this with a writeup? It was pretty amazing! Black car if I remember correctly

I told you yesterday use a plastic razor blade and go over it. It flatten the touch up paint and it looks a lot better. I had very good luck doing this with my car.

I did that already and it takes off the paint unless i need more than an hour for it to dry and im starting to think i might have gotten the wrong color

Go over it very lightly it should flatten that bump.

Will the color get darker over the more coats i apply after i let it dry in between and applied the clear coat later on?

use a pointy wooden toothpick to apply the paint/clear. A touchup brush or pen is way too big for most chips

I've used Dr.Colorchip on my black CTS and metallic Red GMC Envoy. Blown away by the results on both!! Highly recommend.

Or go to a local craft store and get very fine brush.

I hear a lot about Dr. Colorchip but is just to much money for small chips. I know there is another way around. Tomorrow I am going to go get the right paint i bought the wrong one :( Thanks guys for the help

Well dr.colorchip is really meant for just your one car. I wouldn't offer this service to clients because you need to spend 60 every time because each set is design for one color paint.

I actually found the right set if you were to offer this service. The whole set seems great but the 1K for the whole set is what made me pass out. lol Either way I am assuming you would have to correct the chips anyway when doing a full paint correction it wouldn't look right if you left the chips.

Yeah if the chip is small enough touch up paint is fine. My car is less then a year old and has a lot of spots I had to touch up. You can barely see them if they are small.
