Hi guys!

This week, I show you how to apply the brand new CarPro GLISS, a hyper slick top coat that was unveiled at SEMA. It adds slickness to your existing ceramic coating, and can even be used as a stand alone product. Better yet, it's easy on easy off formula will allow novices to start learning how to work with ceramic coatings, as the product flashes to a white haze indicating it's ready to be wiped off.

Enjoy the video!

I’m waiting for the top coat for the top coat to come out. Then I’m guessing Gliss will be the middle coat?

Finest topped with Professional topped with UK topped with CQuartz topped with Gliss topped with Reload topped with HydrO2 Lite maintained with HydroFoam then wiped with Reload.... everyone knows that.

LMAO...wonder how many are writing that down?

Seems like the coating companies know how we like to layer and I don't mean clothes either, LOL. For this I contribute to being apart of the problem and not a part of the solution and you know what, I'm ok with that

LOL you guys are too funny! I had a good laugh. Detailers and enthusiasts can get out of control, but in the case of Gliss, I have to say it does solve issues commonly found with traditional coatings: water spotting issues and lack of slickness/feel to the paint. We all enjoy a slick finish (like a freshly waxed paint) and Gliss does just that. :)

Hopefully, manufacturers will one day give us a one coat, one stop solution that does it all!

Think when they do a new clearcoat that is better on all parts than the ceramic coatings and top coatings ever can be. You can not get more gloss and shine and no better water contact angle and not more scratch resistant. That the clearcoat already is so we working backwards when applying something on it. What a nightmare!

Interesting. Seems with the rage of coatings taking over, companies including the coating focused ones, are looking for multiple ways to continue selling more stuff.

I may give this a try in the near future just to stay on top of things but until then, I'll stick to my ECH20/Reload "Blue Juice" cocktail as my final wipedown after washing. I can't imagine the surface of my car being any more slick than it is right now. I Double Coated it about 3 weeks ago and it's had several washes and toppings with my juice since, including just yesterday.

I agree, my FrankenDetailers were probably more than enough when used as a drying aid or on a dry car but you know what...THEY GOT ME🤣

Not many yet as weather has been meh to darn cold. Hoping to black out the chrome trim soon though.

The car is Midnight Black Metallic so it's a really deep charcoal metallic color in the day/sun light but black at night or on cloudy days.

Here are some cell phone shots:

How are we working backwards, when there is no clear coat on the market that will do the things you are hoping/wishing for?

Awesome, put some Gliss on it, to make it pop even more.

Thanks! Like I said, I might try it later in the year. If they really felt the product was all that and a bag of chips they'd send out some small samples for a few bucks so I could do a 50/50. I'd hate to hand over $50+ only to find out there's no visible difference.

It's just that it is not developed yet. I just spinned on when a single coat that will do everything. So we are not working backwards now. Or some are in fact when to enhance gloss. Some wax are lowering the gloss level to a new perfect polished car. Maybe not the eyes can see it but when a gloss level reader is used. Then there can be so high gloss reading to bare paint that a coat of wax is lower the gloss readings after. But for now there is other things added to benefit a coat of wax.

Nice video Pan! And thanks for shareing your work. And gliss is an interesting product for sure. Carpro has a solid line of products.

Really like Pan the Organizer

I did not not notice much difference of using the Gliss on top of the UK/TiO2 that is on the front bumper of my daily driver. Although the paint on the front bumper is silver. Same can be said about Gliss on the black pillars doing a side by side comparison to the other which has the same UK/TiO2 combo. Cruz hooked me up with his 10ml SEMA sample that he got. I have to do more testing with Gliss on my personal cars.
