My local police station is running free VIN etching into Windows this Saturday. Has anyone done this and been glad that they got the etching done? My concerns are that it will ruin the look of my car. I like the added theft deterrent, but also like my clean windows. I also have uber coating on my windows, would this interfere with the acid used in the etching? I would hate for the acid to bead up and ruin another part of the car. Any information would be appreciated!
