Ok, so my g35 coupe dashboard has seen better days.. The entire car inside and out is immaculate except this so it kills me .. both the vinyl and foam ripped off the dashboard in certain areas to where it was missing chunks and was no longer even. well the dash is no easy task on my car and the upholstery place wants $1500 to replace with a new one
with that not happening so I cleaned the area, cut down loose foam pieces, scuffed the vinyl and rebuilt it using polyester filler and then finishing with a polyester glaze ... filled all cracks with a glaze as well ... after a several hour back and forth process of sanding /filling i finally got it even and smooth as a babys butt .....
BUT now im kinda lost as to what step i need to take and was hoping someone could point me the right way .. I found the matched paint ill be using made by SEM color coat which is a high quality flexible vinyl/plastic paint but I want to know if i should prime over the filler ? what kind of primer
and the main thing is how to a get a textured grain effect ?
